      New Act
          Creates a short title for the  Education  Reform  Act  of
      1997.  Effective June 1, 1997.

 1        AN ACT to create the Education Reform Act of 1997.
 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section 1. This Act may be cited as the Education  Reform
 5    Act of 1997.
 6        Section 99.  This Act takes effect June 1, 1997.
