New Act
25 ILCS 120/Act rep.
Abolishes the Compensation Review Board. Provides that
the compensation of officers determined by the Compensation
Review Board shall be the last compensation set by the board
immediately preceding the effective date of this Act that was
not disapproved by the General Assembly, or the compensation
reduced by the General Assembly, until the General Assembly
by law changes the compensation. Repeals the Compensation
Review Act. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT to abolish the Compensation Review Board and to
2 repeal a named Act.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 1. This Act may be cited as the Compensation
6 Review Board Abolition Act.
7 Section 5. Compensation Review Board Abolition. On the
8 effective date of this Act, the Compensation Review Board is
9 abolished. On the effective date of this Act,
10 notwithstanding any provision of any law providing that the
11 salary of any officer shall be as set by the Compensation
12 Review Board, the compensation of any officer last determined
13 by the Compensation Review Board immediately preceding the
14 effective date of this Act that has not been disapproved by
15 the General Assembly, or the last compensation as reduced by
16 the General Assembly immediately preceding the effective date
17 of this Act, shall be the compensation of those officers
18 until changed by the General Assembly by law.

20 Section 45. The Compensation Review Act is repealed.
21 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
22 becoming law.
