1 AN ACT to amend the Regional Transportation Authority Act
2 by changing Section 2.22.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Regional Transportation Authority Act is
6 amended by changing Section 2.22 as follows:
7 (70 ILCS 3615/2.22) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 702.22)
8 Sec. 2.22. It is the policy of this State that all
9 powers granted, either expressly or by necessary implication,
10 by this Act or any other Illinois statute to the Authority
11 may be exercised by the Authority notwithstanding effects on
12 competition. It is the intention of the General Assembly that
13 the "State action exemption" to the application of federal
14 antitrust statutes be fully available to the Authority to the
15 extent its activities are authorized by law as stated in this
16 Act herein.
