1 AN ACT to amend the Supreme Court Act by changing Section
2 8.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Supreme Court Act is amended by changing
6 Section 8 as follows:
7 (705 ILCS 5/8) (from Ch. 37, par. 13)
8 Sec. 8. Relief. The Supreme Court may grant relief by
9 mandamus, habeas corpus, certiorari, and all other relief,
10 not prohibited by law, which may be necessary to enforce the
11 due administration of justice in all matters within its
12 jurisdiction.
