Amend Senate Bill 428 on page 2, 3 line 12, after "members" by inserting "and non-members"; and 4 on page 2, line 28, after "concerning" by inserting "State"; 5 and 6 on page 2, line 29, after "30." by inserting "State"; and 7 on page 3, line 1, after "current" by inserting "State"; and 8 on page 3, line 13, by replacing "consolidated information 9 on" with "recommendations for ways the Department of Commerce 10 and Community Affairs could create a consolidated 11 clearinghouse on all information concerning"; and 12 on page 3, line 16, after "existing" by inserting "State"; 13 and 14 on page 3, line 21, after "requirements." by inserting "The 15 Commission shall submit its suggestions for creating the 16 consolidated clearinghouse to the Department of Commerce and 17 Community Affairs as soon as practical after the effective 18 date of this Act."; and 19 on page 3, below line 30, by inserting the following: 20 "Section 45. Assistance of the Department of Public -2- LRB9000076DNmbam06 1 Health. The Department of Public Health shall assist the 2 Commission in carrying out its functions and responsibilities 3 by providing administrative and staff support. The 4 Commission shall advise the Department of its budgetary and 5 staff needs. 6 Section 95. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is 7 amended by adding Section 46.69 as follows: 8 (20 ILCS 605/46.69 new) 9 Sec. 46.69. State building requirements. After the 10 Department has received the recommendations from the Illinois 11 Building Commission, the Department shall establish a 12 consolidated clearinghouse containing all existing State 13 building requirements and all information concerning those 14 requirements. The Department shall make the information 15 available to the public upon request. The Department shall 16 assist the public in determining which State building 17 requirements apply to any specified project.".
