1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 599
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 599, on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 1 and 2 with the following:
4 "AN ACT in relation to consumer fraud."; and
5 on page 1, line 6, by changing "Section 5.449" to "Sections
6 5.449 and 5.450"; and
7 on page 1, by inserting between lines 8 and 9 the following:
8 "(30 ILCS 105/5.450 new)
9 Sec. 5.450. The Attorney General Court Ordered and
10 Voluntary Compliance Payment Projects Fund."; and
11 on page 3, by inserting between lines 15 and 16 the
12 following:
13 "(d) This Section applies if: (i) a court orders a party
14 to make payments to the Attorney General and the payments are
15 to be used for the operations of the Office of the Attorney
16 General or (ii) a party agrees, in an Assurance of Voluntary
17 Compliance under this Act, to make payments to the Attorney
18 General for the operations of the Office of the Attorney
19 General.
20 (e) Moneys paid under any of the conditions described in
21 subsection (d) shall be deposited into the Attorney General

1 Court Ordered and Voluntary Compliance Payment Projects Fund,
2 which is created as a special fund in the State Treasury.
3 Moneys in the Fund shall be used, subject to appropriation,
4 for the performance of any function pertaining to the
5 exercise of the duties of the Attorney General including but
6 not limited to enforcement of any law of this State and
7 conducting public education programs; however, any moneys in
8 the Fund that are required by the court or by an agreement to
9 be used for a particular purpose shall be used for that
10 purpose.".
