1 AN ACT to amend the Hospital Licensing Act by changing
2 Section 6.06.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended by
6 changing Section 6.06 as follows:
7 (210 ILCS 85/6.06) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 147.06)
8 Sec. 6.06. Newborn identification standards. The
9 Department shall prescribe, by rule regulation, standards for
10 hospitals to meet in order to assure proper identification of
11 newborn infants. Such rules regulations shall include but
12 not be limited to standards that are consistent with
13 procedures for the identification of newborn infants
14 recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
