Amends the Public Community College Act. Authorizes
community colleges to develop and distribute a directory of
graduating vocational and technical school students.
Prohibits including any graduate who has not given his or her
written consent to be included. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT to amend the Public Community College Act by
2 adding Section 3-31.2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Public Community College Act is amended
6 by adding Section 3-31.2 as follows:
7 (110 ILCS 805/3-31.2 new)
8 Sec. 3-31.2. To distribute to every manufacturer doing
9 business within the community, by June 15th of each year, a
10 technical and vocational skills directory of graduating
11 vocational and technical school students. The directory may
12 include the name, address, and telephone number of the
13 graduate; a profile of the graduate's technical and
14 vocational skills obtained while attending the community
15 college; the courses that the graduate completed; and any
16 apprenticeship, on-the-job training, or internship that the
17 graduate has completed while attending the community college.
18 A graduate shall not be included in the directory without the
19 graduate's written consent.
20 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
21 becoming law.
