10 ILCS 5/9-25.5 new
Amends the Election Code. Provides that no candidate for
Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney
General, Comptroller, Treasurer, State Senator, or State
Representative shall accept a contribution from any person,
who at the time of the contribution, has a contract of
$2,000,000 or more, or has an aggregate amount of contracts
of $5,000,000 or more, with the State of Illinois.

1 AN ACT to amend the Election Code by adding Section
2 9-25.5.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding
6 Section 9-25.5 as follows:
7 (10 ILCS 5/9-25.5 new)
8 Sec. 9-25.5. Contributions from state contractors
9 prohibited. No candidate for Governor, Lieutenant Governor,
10 Secretary of State, Attorney General, Comptroller, Treasurer,
11 State Senator, or State Representative shall accept a
12 contribution from any person, who at the time of the
13 contribution, has a contract of $2,000 or more, or has an
14 aggregate amount of contracts of $5,000,000 or more, with the
15 State of Illinois.
