1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Municipal Code by changing
2 Section 1-1-5.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by
6 changing Section 1-1-5 as follows:
7 (65 ILCS 5/1-1-5) (from Ch. 24, par. 1-1-5)
8 Sec. 1-1-5. Joint exercise of powers. The corporate
9 authorities of each municipality may exercise jointly, with
10 one or more other municipal corporations or governmental
11 subdivisions or districts, all of the powers set forth in
12 this Code unless expressly provided otherwise. In this
13 Section "municipal corporations or governmental subdivisions
14 or districts" includes, but is not limited to,
15 municipalities, townships, counties, school districts, park
16 districts, sanitary districts, and fire protection districts.
