1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Pension Code by changing
2 Section 8-101.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by
6 changing Section 8-101 as follows:
7 (40 ILCS 5/8-101) (from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 8-101)
8 Sec. 8-101. Creation of fund. In each city of more than
9 500,000 inhabitants a Municipal Employees', Officers', and
10 Officials' Annuity and Benefit Fund shall be created, set
11 apart, maintained, and administered, in the manner prescribed
12 in this Article, for the benefit of the employees, officers,
13 and officials herein designated in this Article, and their
14 beneficiaries.
