Amends the Illinois Purchasing Act. Makes provisions in
the Section concerning disclosure gender neutral.

1 AN ACT in relation to State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Purchasing Act is amended by
5 changing Section 6-1 as follows:
6 (30 ILCS 505/6-1) (from Ch. 127, par. 132.6-1)
7 Sec. 6-1. Disclosures. Each person who submits a bid in
8 relation to any purchase in excess of $5,000 under this Act
9 must disclose in his or her application the name of each
10 individual having a beneficial interest of more than 7 1/2%
11 in the enterprise and, if the person wishing to submit a bid
12 or proposal is a corporation, the names of all its officers
13 and directors. The person shall notify the purchasing state
14 agency of any changes in its ownership or officers at the
15 time such changes occur.
