90_SB1034 305 ILCS 5/10-24 new Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to require Child and Spouse Support Units to refer cases to appropriate law enforcement agencies if the unit determines that the birth of a child to a parent under 18 years of age may be the result of sexual conduct that constitutes a criminal offense. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by 6 adding Section 10-24 as follows: 7 (305 ILCS 5/10-24 new) 8 Sec. 10-24. Report possible criminal offense. If a 9 Child and Spouse Support Unit determines that the birth of a 10 child to a parent under 18 years of age may be the result of 11 sexual conduct that constitutes a criminal offense under the 12 Criminal Code of 1961, the Unit shall refer the case to the 13 appropriate law enforcement agency for further investigation.
