Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent
expenses of the Attorney General for fiscal year 1998. Makes
an appropriation to the Illinois Violence Prevention
Authority for expenses relating to the Violence Prevention
Act of 1995. Effective July 1, 1997.

1 AN ACT making appropriations to certain State agencies.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The following named sums, or so much thereof
5 as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated to the
6 Attorney General to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses
7 of the following divisions of the office of the Attorney

30 to the Attorney General from the Illinois Gaming Law
31 Enforcement Fund for State law enforcement purposes.

3 Asbestos Abatement Fund to the Attorney General to meet the
4 ordinary and contingent expenses of the Asbestos Litigation

23 for administration and grant expenses relating to the
24 Violence Prevention Act of 1995.
25 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
26 1, 1997.
