Appropriates $75,695,400 to the Board of Trustees of
Illinois State University for the ordinary and contingent
expenses of the University for Fiscal Year 1998 from the
following funds:
General Revenue Fund $66,636,300
Education Assistance Fund $9,059,100
Effective July 1, 1997.

1 AN ACT making appropriations to the Board of Trustees of
2 Illinois State University.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much
6 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
7 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the
8 General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Illinois
9 State University to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses
10 of Illinois State University for the fiscal year ending June
11 30, 1998:
12 For personal services, including payment
13 to the University for personal services
14 costs incurred during the fiscal year and salaries
15 accrued but unpaid to academic personnel
16 for personal services rendered during the
17 the academic year 1996-97................... $52,982,900
18 For State Contributions to Social
19 Security for Medicare....................... 1,060,000
20 For Contractual Services........................ 5,129,600
21 For Travel...................................... 319,200
22 For Commodities................................. 726,300
23 For Equipment and Library Books................. 3,916,500
24 For Telecommunications Services................. 741,200
25 For Operations of Auto Equipment................ 115,600
26 For Awards and Grants and Matching Funds........ 509,600
27 For Repairs, Maintenance and
28 Other Capital Improvements.................. 1,135,400

30 Section 10. The following named sums, or so much thereof
