Amend Senate Bill 1265, AS AMENDED, 3 with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment 4 No. 2, on page 1, by replacing line 6 with the following: 5 "changing Sections 16-127 and 17-300 as follows: 6 (220 ILCS 5/16-127) 7 Sec. 16-127. Environmental disclosure. 8 (a) Effective January 1, 1999, every electric utility 9 and alternative retail electric supplier shall provide the 10 following information, to the maximum extent practicable, 11 with its bills to its customers on a quarterly basis: 12 (i) the known sources of electricity supplied, 13 broken-out by percentages, of biomass power, coal-fired 14 power, hydro power, natural gas-fired power, nuclear 15 power, oil-fired power, solar power, wind power and other 16 resources, respectively; and 17 (ii) a pie-chart which graphically depicts the 18 percentages of the sources of the electricity supplied as 19 set forth in subparagraph (i) of this subsection. 20 (b) In addition, every electric utility and alternative 21 retail electric supplier shall provide, to the maximum extent 22 practicable, with its bills to its customers on a quarterly 23 basis, a standardized chart in a format to be determined by -2- LRB9009114WHmgam02 1 the Commission in a rule following notice and hearings which 2 provides the amounts of carbon dioxide, nitrogennitrous3 oxides and sulfur dioxide emissions and nuclear waste 4 attributable to the known sources of electricity supplied as 5 set forth in subparagraph (i) of subsection (a) of this 6 Section. 7 (c) The electric utilities and alternative retail 8 electric suppliers may provide their customers with such 9 other information as they believe relevant to the information 10 required in subsections (a) and (b) of this Section. 11 (d) For the purposes of subsection (a) of this Section, 12 "biomass" means dedicated crops grown for energy production 13 and organic wastes. 14 (e) All of the information provided in subsections (a) 15 and (b) of this Section shall be presented to the Commission 16 for inclusion in its World Wide Web Site. 17 (Source: P.A. 90-561, eff. 12-16-97.)".
