1 AN ACT to amend the Public Utilities Act by changing
2 Section 16-105.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by
6 changing Section 16-105 as follows:
7 (220 ILCS 5/16-105)
8 Sec. 16-105. Delivery services implementation plan. To
9 ensure the safe and orderly implementation of delivery
10 services, each electric utility shall submit to the
11 Commission no later than March 1, 1999, a delivery services
12 implementation plan for non-residential customers and no
13 later than August 1, 2001, a delivery services implementation
14 plan for residential customers. The delivery services
15 implementation plan shall detail the process and procedures
16 by which each electric utility will offer delivery services
17 to each customer class and shall be designed to insure an
18 orderly transition and the maintenance of reliable service.
19 The Commission shall enter an order approving, or approving
20 as modified, the delivery services implementation plan of
21 each electric utility at least no later than 60 days prior to
22 the date on which the electric utility must commence offering
23 such services.
