1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1567
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1567, AS AMENDED,
3 in Section 5 of the bill, in Sec. 13-902, in subsection (e),
4 in subdivision (2)(B)(iii), by changing "(iii) that" to
5 "(iii) in cases where verification is sought for the
6 subscriber's presubscribed telecommunications carrier, that";
7 and
8 in Section 5 of the bill, in Sec. 13-902, in subsection (e),
9 in subdivision (3), by replacing "whether the change was
10 initiated through inbound or outbound" with "whether the
11 change was initiated through an inbound call initiated by the
12 customer or outbound"; and
13 in Section 5 of the bill, in Sec. 13-902, in subsection (f),
14 by replacing "Business Practices Act, or" with "Business
15 Practices Act and"; and
16 in Section 5 of the bill, in Sec. 13-902, in subsection (g),
17 in paragraph (1), by replacing "unauthorized switch to a"
18 with "unauthorized change in a subscriber's primary exchange
19 or interexchange"; and
20 in Section 5 of the bill, in Sec. 13-902, in subsection (g),
21 in the second sentence of paragraph (1), by replacing
22 "Notice" with "For a carrier that elects to provide written

1 notice of a change in a subscriber's primary exchange or
2 interexchange carrier, notice"; and
3 in Section 5 of the bill, in Sec. 13-902, in subsection (g),
4 in the second sentence of paragraph (1), by replacing "of
5 this paragraph." with "of this paragraph. For a carrier that
6 elects to obtain verification of a change in a subscriber's
7 primary exchange or interexchange carrier consistent with
8 paragraph (2) of subsection (e) of this Section, either the
9 first correspondence from the carrier that notifies the
10 customer of the change or the subscriber's first bill for
11 services, whichever is mailed first, shall be deemed to
12 satisfy the notice requirements of this Section.".
