1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1701
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1701 by inserting
3 immediately below Section 5 the following:
4 "Section 7. Upon the payment of the sum of $28,000.00 to
5 the State of Illinois, the Secretary of Transportation is
6 authorized to convey by quitclaim deed all right, title, and
7 interest in and to the following described real estate in
8 Sangamon County to the City of Springfield:
9 Part of Lots 1 through 6 of Block 40 of Payne's South
10 Side Addition to the City of Springfield, Illinois, more
11 particularly described as follows:
12 Commencing at the northeast corner of Lot 1, thence South
13 1 degree 17 minutes 02 seconds East, along the east line
14 of Lot 1 (bearings based on grid North of the Illinois
15 State Plane Coordinate System, NAD 83), 101.05 feet to
16 the point of beginning; thence South 1 degree 17 minutes
17 02 seconds East, continuing along the east line of Lot 1,
18 64.04 feet to the north right-of-way line of the Illinois
19 Central Railroad; thence South 89 degrees 00 minutes 44
20 seconds West, along the north Railroad right-of-way line,
21 119.97 feet to the west line of Lot 3; thence North 42

1 degrees 04 minutes 51 seconds West, 61.21 feet to the
2 west line of Lot 4, also being 118.00 feet southerly of
3 the northeast corner of Lot 5; thence North 51 degrees 08
4 minutes 15 seconds West, 79.79 feet; thence North 01
5 degrees 17 minutes 23 seconds West, 21.20 feet to the
6 proposed southerly right-of-way line of Stanford Avenue;
7 thence South 76 degrees 34 minutes 43 seconds East, along
8 the right-of-way line, 172.47 feet, to a point on a
9 654.84 foot radius curve, the center of circle bears
10 North 13 degrees 25 minutes 17 seconds East; thence
11 southeasterly along the curved right-of-way line, 55.42
12 feet, through a central angle of 04 degrees 50 minutes 57
13 seconds, to the point of beginning, containing 14,643
14 square feet, 0.336 acres, more or less.".
