Appropriates funds to the the Board of Trustees of
Illinois State University for the ordinary and contingent
expenses of the University for Fiscal Year 1999 from the
General Revenue Fund and the Education Assistance Fund.
Effective July 1, 1998.

1 AN ACT regarding appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much
5 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
6 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the
7 General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Illinois
8 State University to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses
9 of Illinois State University for the fiscal year ending June
10 30, 1999:
11 For personal services, including payment
12 to the University for personal services
13 costs incurred during the fiscal year and salaries
14 accrued but unpaid to academic personnel
15 for personal services rendered during the
16 the academic year 1998-99.................... $ 55,698,900
17 For State Contributions to Social
18 Security for Medicare........................ 1,123,600
19 For Contractual Services...................... 4,858,600
20 For Travel.................................... 456,000
21 For Commodities............................... 758,100
22 For Equipment and Library Books............... 3,802,000
23 For Telecommunications Services............... 741,200
24 For Operations of Auto Equipment.............. 115,600
25 For Awards and Grants and Matching Funds...... 509,500
26 For Repairs, Maintenance and
27 Other Capital Improvements................... 1,339,800

29 Section 10. The following named sums, or so much thereof
30 as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and

2 Education Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of
3 Illinois State University to meet the ordinary and contingent
4 expenses of Illinois State University for the fiscal year
5 ending June 30, 1999:
6 For Personal Services, including
7 payment to the University for
8 personal services costs incurred
9 during the fiscal year....................... $ 3,848,000
10 For Contractual Services...................... 4,742,900
11 For Commodities............................... 531,300
12 For Equipment................................. 299,300
13 Total $9,421,500
14 Section 15. The sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as
15 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
16 Fund to the Board of Trustees of Illinois State University
17 for the operation of the Illinois Institute for
18 Entrepreneurship Education.
19 Section 20. The sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as
20 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
21 Fund to Illinois State University for costs associated with a
22 Women's Health Initiative within the Minority Research
23 Opportunities Center.
24 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
25 1, 1998.
