 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1785
 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 1785, by  deleting
 3    everything  after  the  enacting clause and inserting in lieu
 4    thereof the following:
 5                             "Article 10
 6        Section 1.  In addition to any other  funds  appropriated
 7    for  that  purpose,  the sum of $102,400 is appropriated from
 8    the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Labor  for  all
 9    costs  associated  with  conducting the study mandated by the
10    Progress of Women  and  Minorities  in  Workplace  Act,  P.A.
11    87-0405.
12                             Article 11
13        Section  1.  In  addition to any other funds appropriated
14    for that purpose, the sum of $40,000,000, or so much  thereof
15    as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
16    Fund to the Department of Transportation for making grants to
17    the  Regional  Transportation  Authority  for  the purpose of
18    reimbursing the Service Boards for  providing  reduced  fares
19    for  mass  transportation  services for students, handicapped
20    persons, and the  elderly  to  be  allocated  proportionately

 1    among  the Service Boards based upon actual costs incurred by
 2    each Service Board for such reduced fares.
 3                             Article 12
 4        Section 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as may
 5    be necessary notwithstanding any other appropriations for the
 6    same purposes, is appropriated from the Road Fund to Illinois
 7    Department of Transportation for the following:
 8    For a grant to the village of Manhattan
 9      for resurfacing Smith Road
10      between the Manhattan Jr. High School and
11      Route 52 ....................................     $350,000
12    For resurfacing and loop detectors on
13      Pulaski Road between Devon Ave to IL 64 .....   $1,654,000
14    For resurfacing 76th Street between
15      Dorchester to Damen .........................     $250,000
16    For resurfacing 69th Street between
17      State Street to South Chicago ...............     $250,000
18    For resurfacing 69th Street between
19      State Street to Western Ave. ................     $250,000
20    For Resurfacing Martin Luther King
21      Drive between 67th to 79th Street ...........     $250,000
22    For resurfacing Loomis between 67th
23      and 79th Streets ............................     $250,000
24    For resurfacing and repairing of the

 1      following roads:
 2        W. 34th St. and Morgan to Halsted;
 3        33rd Pl. from Morgan to Halsted;
 4        W. 32nd Pl. from Morgan to Lituanica;
 5        W. Root St. from Halsted to viaduct
 6       at Stewart;
 7        S. Wells St. from 37th St. to 36th St.;
 8        W. 32nd St. from Princeton to viaduct
 9       at Stewart;
10        S. Union from 43rd St. to 42nd St.;
11        S. Normal from 43rd St. to Root St.;
12        Wentworth from 31st to 39th (all lanes);
13        Viaduct - 37th St. Wentworth;
14        43rd St.-King Drive to Stewart;
15        51st St.-King Drive to Stewart;
16        55th St.-State to Morgan;
17        State St.-55th to 35th Streets;
18        Wentworth-31st to 39th;
19        Viaduct-37th St. at Wentworth;
20        25th Pl. and Wentworth ....................   $2,000,000
21    For repairing two retainer walls on
22      51st St.-Shields to Wallace .................     $100,000
23    For repairing the overpass at 55th St.
24      Wentworth to Wells ..........................     $500,000
25    For removing the train tracks over
26      Halsted Street to 49th Street ...............   $100,000".
