10 ILCS 5/9-25.2 new
Amends the Election Code. Provides that any person who
has been awarded State contracts of $5,000 or more, who has
submitted bids for contracts of $5,000 or more, or who has in
the aggregate received contracts or submitted bids for
contracts of $5,000 or more in any fiscal year shall file a
report with the Office of the Comptroller listing certain
contributions made to candidates for and holders of the
offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State,
Attorney General, Comptroller, Treasurer, State Senator, and
State Representative.

1 AN ACT to amend the Election Code by adding Section
2 9-25.2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding
6 Section 9-25.2 as follows:
7 (10 ILCS 5/9-25.2 new)
8 Sec. 9-25.2. State contractors; report. Any person who
9 has been awarded State contracts of $5,000 or more, who has
10 submitted bids for contracts of $5,000 or more, or who has in
11 the aggregate received contracts or submitted bids for
12 contracts of $5,000 or more in any fiscal year shall, no
13 later than July 15 following the close of the fiscal year,
14 file a report with the Office of the Comptroller listing
15 contributions of $150 or more made during the fiscal year to
16 candidates for and holders of the offices of Governor,
17 Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General,
18 Comptroller, Treasurer, State Senator, and State
19 Representative. The report shall include the name of the
20 official or candidate, the amount of the contribution, the
21 date the contribution was made, and the person who received
22 the contribution. For the purposes of this Section,
23 "contribution" means the same as in Section 9-1.4 of this
24 Article.
