1 SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois General Assembly
3 were saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Faye Daily of
4 Lovington on Sunday, March 2, 1997; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born in Moultrie County on December 8,
6 1930, the daughter of William Burford and Viola Meadows Jent;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, She was united in holy matrimony to Eugene Daily
9 in Sullivan on December 10, 1947; and
10 WHEREAS, Mrs. Daily was president and trust officer of
11 the Hardware State Bank and a member of the bank's board of
12 directors; and
13 WHEREAS, She was affiliated with the Lovington Christian
14 Church and was active in the Community Bankers Association of
15 Illinois, and the Lovington Area Development Committee; she
16 served as an adviser for the Lovington Senior Citizens; and
17 WHEREAS, A member of the Moultrie County Democratic
18 Women, Mrs. Faye Daily also served as a Democratic precinct
19 committeeperson; and
20 WHEREAS, Faye Daily was strongly committed to her
21 community and did the work of the angels; and
22 WHEREAS, She will be deeply missed by her family and
23 friends, especially her husband, Gene; her son and
24 daughter-in-law, Mike and Dee Ann; her daughter and
25 son-in-law, Lisa and Jake Kamm; her brother and
26 sister-in-law, Rethel and Ethel May Jent; and her
27 grandchildren, April, Adam, Lindsey, and Hunter; therefore,
28 be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
30 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

1 CONCURRING HEREIN, that we note with sorrow and regret the
2 death of Mrs. Faye Daily and extend our sincere condolences
3 to her family and friends; and be it further
4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to her husband, Eugene Daily.
