90_SR0034 LRB9005165KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 3 to learn of the death of Muriel Macauley of Kampsville, 4 Illinois on March 2, 1997; and 5 WHEREAS, Muriel Macauley was born July 31, 1906, the 6 daughter of William J. and Lucinda Kamp; and 7 WHEREAS, Muriel Macauley married Charles F. Macauley on 8 August 22, 1927; and 9 WHEREAS, Muriel Macauley worked as a homemaker, 10 postmaster for Golden Eagle, taught school for seven years at 11 Point Pleasant in Calhoun County, and operated and owned 12 Macauley Restaurant in Kampsville for 27 years; and 13 WHEREAS, Mrs. Macauley was a member of St. Anselm's 14 Church, as well as a member of the church Altar Society; and 15 WHEREAS, Muriel Macauley is survived by her loving 16 children; her two daughters Mary and Barbara; her two sons 17 Thomas and James; her four sisters Margaret, Joan, Ione, and 18 Flossie; and her thirteen grandchildren and 21 19 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it 20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 21 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of Muriel 22 Macauley of Kampsville, Illinois and extend our sympathy to 23 her family and friends; and be it further 24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 25 presented to the family of Muriel Macauley.
