1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were saddened
3 to hear of the death of Claribel Neighbors of Carlinville,
4 Illinois on March 28, 1997; and
5 WHEREAS, Claribel Neighbors was born in Moultrie County
6 on February 6, 1909; her parents were William and Elizabeth
7 Martin Sutton; on August 14, 1929 she married Arthur
8 Neighbors; and
9 WHEREAS, Claribel worked for the Carlinville Community
10 Unit School District #1 as a cook; she retired from this
11 position in 1971; Mrs. Neighbors attended and was a member of
12 the Atwater Christian Church; and
13 WHEREAS, Claribel Neighbors is survived by her son,
14 William S. Neighbors; her daughter Mrs. Virginia Armour; nine
15 grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; her sister Beulah
16 Waite; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
18 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of Claribel
19 Neighbors of Carlinville, Illinois, and express our sympathy
20 to her friends and family; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to the family of Claribel Neighbors of Carlinville,
23 Illinois.
