1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Madison County Clerk Debbie Saltich of
4 Granite City on Tuesday, April 15, 1997; and
5 WHEREAS, Ms. Saltich was elected Madison County Clerk in
6 November of 1994; she was a member of the Association of
7 County Clerks & Recorders, the Madison County Democrat Team,
8 the Illinois Association of County Officials, Zone 2 Clerks &
9 Recorders, the Tax Manual Committee, the Township Officials
10 of Illinois, and the Business & Professional Women's
11 Association; and
12 WHEREAS, Born in Granite City on April 3, 1955, she was
13 the daughter of Margaret Balent Saltich and the late Steve
14 Saltich; and
15 WHEREAS, Debbie Saltich personified the nobility of
16 public service and her passing is a grievous loss to her
17 community; and
18 WHEREAS, She will be deeply missed by her family and
19 friends, especially her mother, Margaret Saltich; her sister,
20 Carol Trittschuh; and her brothers, David and Jack Saltich;
21 therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
23 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
24 the death of Debbie Saltich and extend our sincere
25 condolences to her family and friends; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to her mother, Mrs. Margaret Saltich.
