90_SR0069 LRB9005643CBcb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn 3 of the death of Jeff C. Still of Yorkville on Tuesday, 4 February 25, 1997; and 5 WHEREAS, Mr. Still was a sixth grade social studies 6 teacher at Granger Middle School in Aurora and coached 7 basketball and football; he also coached sophomore football 8 and baseball at Waubonsie Valley High School; and 9 WHEREAS, He was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on October 10 10, 1968, the son of Gary and Katherine Still; he was a 11 graduate of Kaneland High School and Southern Illinois 12 University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in education; 13 and 14 WHEREAS, Jeff Still's passing is a grievous loss to his 15 family and community; he was more than a teacher and coach, 16 he was a friend and role model to those young people who were 17 fortunate enough to have known him; and 18 WHEREAS, Jeff Still will be deeply missed by his family 19 and countless friends, especially his wife, June; his sons, 20 Jacob Daniel and Jarred Joseph; his parents, Gary and 21 Katherine Still; his brother and sister-in-law, James and 22 Kris Still; his grandmother and step-grandfather, Dorothy and 23 Anthony Oleniczek; his mother-in-law, Judy Bern; his 24 grandmother-in-law, Florence Bern; his sister-in-law, April 25 Bern; and his nephew, Joshua Still; therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 27 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret 28 the death of Jeff Still and extend our sincere condolences to 29 his family, his students, and his friends; and be it further 30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 31 presented to his widow, Mrs. June Still.
