90_SR0096 LRB9006034KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to send 3 their condolences to the family of Lloyd Page, who passed 4 away on Sunday June 29, 1997; and 5 WHEREAS, Lloyd Page was born on October 21, 1921, in 6 Springfield, Illinois to the union of Henry Page, Sr., and 7 Anna Murrah Page; and 8 WHEREAS, Lloyd Page attended Feitshans High School in 9 Springfield; Mr. Page served in the Civilian Conservation 10 Corps, and served in World War II as a Sergeant in the U.S. 11 Army, serving in the Philippine Islands; Mr. Page was awarded 12 a citation for his meritorious service in the military, and 13 received two bronze stars; in 1982 Lloyd Page retired after 14 thirty-two years of service from the United States General 15 Services Administration; Mr. Page also worked at the 16 Maintenance Supply Company for thirteen years, before his 17 retirement in 1996; and 18 WHEREAS, Lloyd Page married Alice Randalls on July 3, 19 1948; to this blessed union was born three daughters, 20 Jennifer, Brenda, and Loydette; and 21 WHEREAS, Lloyd Page was a member of the Springfield 22 Branch of the NAACP, the Springfield Urban League, St. Luke's 23 Episcopal Church, the Fairway Golf Club, the Springfield Golf 24 Club, Masonic Lodge #3, and American Legion Post 809; and 25 WHEREAS, Lloyd Page is survived by his wife Alice; his 26 three daughters: Jennifer and her husband Lester, Brenda and 27 her husband Norman, and Loydette; his sister Mrs. Opal 28 George; his three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one 29 niece; one nephew; as well as several cousins and friends; 30 therefore, be it 31 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY -2- LRB9006034KBkb 1 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with the 2 family and friends, the death of Lloyd Page of Springfield, 3 Illinois; and be it further 4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 5 presented to the family of Lloyd Page, along with our deepest 6 sympathy.
