1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 convey their condolences to the family and friends of Robert
4 Rivers of Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 21,
5 1997; and
6 WHEREAS, Robert Henry Rivers was born on July 8, 1945 in
7 Chicago, Illinois; his parents were Henry and Louise Rivers;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, Robert Rivers is remembered as kind, loving, and
10 caring; he was helpful in any situation; he was proud of his
11 success, and learned from his mistakes; and
12 WHEREAS, Robert Rivers is survived by his loving wife of
13 seventeen years, Dorsey; his children, Leonard, Lydia
14 Christmas and her husband Kenneth, Robin Graham and her
15 husband Rodney, Brice, Quinn, and Martin; he is survived by
16 his mother Louise; his brother Ronald; his sister Pamela; his
17 aunt Aunt Hazel Fite; his six grandchildren; and several
18 relatives and friends; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
20 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of Robert
21 Rivers of Chicago, Illinois, and send our sincerest sympathy
22 to his family and his friends; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to the family of Robert Rivers.
