 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION
 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Illinois  Senate  wish  to
 3    convey  their  sincere  condolences  to  the family of Larnch
 4    Rush, who passed away on October 12, 1995; and
 5        WHEREAS, Larnch Rush was born January 27, 1903 in Scooba,
 6    Mississippi; his parents were Noah  Rush  and  Hattie  Mosley
 7    Rush; in October of 1925, Larnch married Melinda Spencer, who
 8    was affectionately called "Sugar"; and
 9        WHEREAS,  Larnch Rush spent his early years on the family
10    land in Mississippi; in 1929 he moved his family to East  St.
11    Louis,  Illinois;  Mr.  Rush  took  a  job  with the Monsanto
12    Company, where he retired after thirty years of service; and
13        WHEREAS, At an early age Larnch Rush  accepted  Jesus  as
14    his  Savior  during  a  revival  service;  he joined with the
15    Friendship Baptist Church under the  leadership  of  Reverend
16    L.T. Phinnessee; and
17        WHEREAS,  Larnch Rush is survived by his loving wife; his
18    son  George;  his  daughter  Marie  Rush  Lawson;  his   four
19    grandchildren, Jerome Gosa and his wife Pierrette, Kim Lawson
20    Jenkins  and her husband Ronaldo, Shirley Rush Bonney and her
21    husband Terry, and Linda Sue Lawson; he is  survived  by  his
22    adopted  family,  the  Lewis  family of East St. Louis; three
23    great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and
24    friends; therefore, be it
25        RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
26    OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that  we  mourn,  along  with  his
27    family  and  friends,  the  death  of Larnch Rush of East St.
28    Louis, Illinois; and be it further
29        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
30    presented to the family of Larnch Rush.
