1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Senate Resolution 76 created the Task Force on
3 Comfort Care for the terminally Ill to study historical and
4 current practices relating to care provided during the last
5 days of a terminally ill patient's life; and
6 WHEREAS, Senate Resolution 76 required the Task Force to
7 report its findings and recommendations on or before January
8 31, 1998; and
9 WHEREAS, The duties of the task force require thoughtful
10 and deliberate work; therefore, be it
11 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
12 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that the Task Force on Comfort Care
13 for the Terminally Ill continue its work and report its
14 findings and recommendations to the Senate by filing copies
15 of its report with the Secretary of the Senate no later than
16 May 31, 1998 rather than on or before January 31, 1998.
