90_SR0121 LRB9006070KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of This Body are saddened to learn 3 of the death of Edward James Dunn of Carlinville, Illinois; 4 and 5 WHEREAS, Edward James "Jim" Dunn was born on October 12, 6 1925 in Carlinville, Illinois; his parents were Edward James 7 and Mary Dunn; on November 25, 1948 he married Tondy Hill at 8 St. Joseph's Rectory; and 9 WHEREAS, James Dunn was a graduate of Carlinville High 10 School; he was a navy veteran of World War II, where he 11 served in the Pacific Theatre of Operations aboard the USS 12 Mullany; James Dunn was employed as a milkman for 13 twenty-seven years for Prairie Farms; for eight years he 14 served as a bailiff for the Macoupin County Sheriff's 15 Department, and for the last twenty years served as the 16 Carlinville Township supervisor; Mr. Dunn was a member of 17 Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church, John L. Meyer VFW Post 18 #1104, and the Knights of Columbus; and 19 WHEREAS, James Dunn will be remembered as a man who 20 enjoyed the outdoors through his love of hunting and fishing; 21 and 22 WHEREAS, James Dunn is survived by his loving wife Tondy; 23 his two sons David and Eddie; his three daughters: Tricia and 24 her husband Bruce; Anne and her husband Dave; and Kathy and 25 her husband Don; his twelve grandchildren: Travis, Angie, 26 Krissy, Jake, Brett, Justin, Greg, Kaitlin, Kimberly, Sarah, 27 Ben, and Tom; his great-granddaughter Molly; his two sisters 28 Monica and Mary Helen; as well as several nieces and nephews; 29 therefore, be it 30 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 31 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his -2- LRB9006070KBkb 1 family and friends, the passing of Edward James Dunn of 2 Carlinville, Illinois; and be it further 3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 4 presented to the family of Edward James Dunn, along with our 5 sincerest condolences.
