 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION
 2        WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to  send
 3    their  sincere sympathy to the family of Peter M. Sikich, Jr.
 4    of Waukegan, Illinois, who passed away on July 25, 1997; and
 5        WHEREAS,  Peter  Sikich  was  born  in   North   Chicago,
 6    Illinois, on December 23, 1929; he was a member of St. Dismas
 7    Church,  he  was  a United States Army veteran, and a charter
 8    and active member of the Waukegan  Tamburitzans;  Mr.  Sikich
 9    was  a  member  of CFU Lodge 848, CCU Lodge 68, VFW Post 1293
10    Waukegan, American Legion Post  344,  and  was  a  Democratic
11    precinct committeeman; and
12        WHEREAS, Peter Sikich worked for thirty-five years in oil
13    tempering  at  U.S.  Steel,  and for the City of Waukegan for
14    twelve years before his retirement; and
15        WHEREAS, Peter Sikich is survived  by  his  loving  wife,
16    Mary Glogovsky Sikich; his children, Barbara Sikich, Patricia
17    Sikich,  Mildred  Beldron and her husband Chris, Peter Sikich
18    III and his wife Shan,  Beverly  Turkowski  and  her  husband
19    Daniel,   and   Edward   Sikich   and   his  wife  Joan;  his
20    grandchildren, Nicole and  Peter  Beck,  Jonathan  and  Jimmy
21    Turkowski, and Westley and Tifany Sikich; his brothers, Frank
22    "Zeke"  Sikich  and  his  wife Joanne, Michael Sikich and his
23    wife Mary, John Sikich, and Joseph Sikich; his sisters,  Mary
24    Chambers,  Mildred  Sisk,  and  Sharon Sikich; his friend Don
25    Weakley; his friend and cousin Tony Sardar; as well  as  many
26    nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
27        RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
28    OF  THE  STATE  OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, with sadness, the
29    death of Peter M. Sikich, Jr. of Waukegan, Illinois; may  his
30    family and friends find comfort in their time of need; and be
31    it further

 2    presented to the family of Peter M. Sikich, Jr.
