90_SR0150 LRB9007335KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, Illinois has lost a valued and respected citizen 3 with the death of John D. Brady of Chicago, Illinois; and 4 WHEREAS, John Brady served as a judge in the criminal 5 division of the Cook County Circuit Court; in 1988 he was 6 appointed to serve as an associate judge in the First 7 Municipal District; in 1989 he joined the criminal division, 8 serving in the night Narcotics Court before moving to the day 9 trial section; he is remembered by his colleagues in the 10 court house as hard working, compassionate, stern, tough, and 11 fair; and 12 WHEREAS, John Brady was a graduate of St. Joseph's 13 College in Rensselaer, Indiana; from 1970 to 1978 he worked 14 as a trust officer for American National Bank; during the 15 time he worked at the bank, he also attended John Marshall 16 Law School and graduated in 1974; in 1978 he joined the Cook 17 County public defender's office, and in 1981 became a 18 prosecutor; and 19 WHEREAS, John Brady is survived by his loving wife Nora; 20 his parents, Jack and Marge Brady; his brothers Timothy and 21 wife Charlotte, Kevin, Terry, and Joel; therefore, be it 22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 23 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that the Senate sends its 24 condolences to the family and friends of Judge John Brady of 25 Chicago, Illinois; and be it further 26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 27 presented to the family of John Brady.
