1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of former Worth Village Clerk Jean Fickes; and
4 WHEREAS, She served as Village Clerk from 1991 to 1993;
5 she was appointed to fill the vacancy left by Norma Brewster;
6 and
7 WHEREAS, She did not seek re-election and was hired as a
8 part-time member of the village staff; and
9 WHEREAS, She had also served 10 years as a Worth Public
10 Library trustee, including time spent as board president; she
11 resigned from the board to become full-time children's
12 librarian; and
13 WHEREAS, She will be deeply missed by all; therefore, be
14 it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
16 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sadness the death
17 of Ms. Jean Fickes; and be it further
18 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19 presented to the family of Ms. Jean Fickes.
