90_SR0177 LRB9011846KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 convey their sincere condolences to the family of Jack Bray 4 of Litchfield, Illinois, who passed away on March 10, 1998; 5 and 6 WHEREAS, Jack Bray was born in Nokomis, Illinois on May 7 22, 1918; his parents were John Michael "Jack" and Viva 8 Fuller Bray; Jack was a graduate of Litchfield High School 9 and attended one year of business school; and 10 WHEREAS, On August 3, 1939 he married Dorothy Roberts at 11 the Union Avenue Christian Church in Litchfield, Illinois; he 12 served with the United States Navy during World War II; and 13 WHEREAS, Jack Bray was the Executive Director of the 14 Montgomery County Housing Authority, where he retired in 15 1983; he was the owner and operator of Bray's Red and White 16 Grocery Store in Litchfield, located at Jefferson and Ferdon 17 Street, for several years; and 18 WHEREAS, Jack Bray was a member of Union Avenue Christian 19 Church and had served as a Deacon, Elder, Trustee, and past 20 Board Chairman of the Church; and 21 WHEREAS, Jack Bray is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his 22 son, Jim Bray and his wife, Carol; his daughters, Linda 23 Musgrave, and Nancy Baller and her husband, Charles; his six 24 grandchildren, Ron Musgrave, Amy Musgrave, Brandt Musgrave, 25 Christopher Baller, Julie Baller, and Jenny Baller; and his 26 great granddaughter, Ashley Baller; therefore, be it 27 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 28 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his 29 family and friends, the death of Jack Bray of Litchfield, 30 Illinois; may his loved ones find peace in this time of loss; 31 and be it further -2- LRB9011846KBkb 1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 2 presented to the family of Jack Bray.
