1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Marjorie Nuding of Decatur,
4 Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Marjorie Nuding was born in Decatur, Illinois;
6 her parents were Robert C. and Mary Teuting Dresback; she
7 married LeRoy Nuding on June 9, 1935; and
8 WHEREAS, Marjorie Nuding was the field assessor for Long
9 Creek Township and Macon County; she was a member of
10 Riverside Baptist Church; she was a member of the Decatur
11 Moose Lodge Auxiliary and the Decatur Elks Lodge Auxiliary;
12 Mrs. Nuding participated in area bowling leagues, was a past
13 registration clerk for the Macon County Voters Registration
14 Office, was past Macon County Supervisor of Assessments, a
15 past field agent for the State of Illinois Property Tax
16 Division, and Past Chairman of the Macon County Board of
17 Review; and
18 WHEREAS, Mrs. Nuding was an active and well-known part of
19 the Democratic Party in Macon County, where she had served in
20 the past as local precinct committeewoman and county board
21 district chairwoman; Mrs. Nuding served for twelve years as
22 the chairwoman of the Macon County Board of Review, ruling on
23 tax protests from residents; from 1980 to 1986 she served as
24 the Macon County Democratic Party treasurer, and was
25 re-elected in 1996; Mrs. Nuding was working for the current
26 Supervisor of Assessments at the time of her death; and
27 WHEREAS, Marjorie Nuding is survived by her son Robert L.
28 Nuding and his wife, Carole; her sister, Lois E. Scott and
29 her husband, Don; her grandson, Mark A. Nuding and his wife,
30 Cynthia; her granddaughter, Diana L. Nuding; her aunt, Martha
31 Jordan; her nephew, Charles E. Pierce; and three
32 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
2 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her many
3 friends and family members, the death of Marjorie Nuding of
4 Decatur, Illinois; and be it further
5 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to the family of Marjorie Nuding.
