1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Worth Clerk Betty Mattera on Saturday, April
4 4, 1998; and
5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Mattera served the village in various
6 offices for 20 years; she was a trustee for the Worth Library
7 Board from 1972 until 1976; she was a police department
8 records clerk from 1981 to 1988; and
9 WHEREAS, She served as deputy clerk from 1988 to 1993
10 when she was elected village clerk; she was re-elected in
11 1997; and
12 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
13 and friends, especially her husband, James; her sons, Thomas
14 Zimmer Jr. and James Mattera Jr.; her daughter, Lara Malito;
15 her stepson, Vito Mattera; her stepdaughter, Vicki Mattera;
16 and two grandchildren; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
18 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
19 the death of Mrs. Betty Mattera and extend our sincere
20 condolences to her family and friends; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to her husband, James Mattera.
