90_SR0203 LRB9012166KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to send 3 their condolences to the family of Joseph Mazzotti, who 4 passed away May 1, 1998; and 5 WHEREAS, Joseph Mazzotti was born in Taylorville, 6 Illinois on December 4, 1920; his parents were Giovanni and 7 Maria Ida (Fiami) Mazzotti; he was first married to Norma 8 June Cook, and she preceded him in death; on August 12, 1976 9 he married Marge Evans in Bay St. Louis, MS; and 10 WHEREAS, Mr. Mazzotti was Veteran of World War II, where 11 he served with the United States Navy; he was a member of St. 12 Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville; he was a member of 13 V.F.W. Post #4495; he was a member of American Legion Post 14 #73; he was a member of the Pana Elks Lodge and a former 15 Exalted Ruler of the Taylorville Elks Lodge; he was also a 16 lifetime member of the Taylorville Knights of Columbus 17 Council #2120; and 18 WHEREAS, Joseph Mazzotti was retired from Rene's Drug 19 Store in Taylorville; and 20 WHEREAS, Joseph Mazzotti is survived by his wife, Marge 21 Mazzotti; his son, Johnn Mazzotti and his wife, Becky; his 22 stepsons, Rick Stout and wife, Lori, and Mike Stout and his 23 wife, Debra; his stepdaughter, Becky Adams and husband, Ron; 24 his twelve grandchildren; his three great-grandchildren; and 25 his sister, Christine Stewart; therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 27 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his 28 family and friends, the death of Joseph Mazzotti of 29 Taylorville, Illinois; may his family find comfort at this 30 time of loss; and be it further 31 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be -2- LRB9012166KBkb 1 presented to the family of Joseph Mazzotti.
