 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION
 2        WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are  saddened
 3    to learn of the death of Ray Kileen of Decatur, Illinois; and
 4        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Kileen  was  born  on  January 11, 1906 in
 5    Decatur,  Illinois;  his  parents  were  Frank   George   and
 6    Charolette Mae Underwood Kileen; Mr. Kileen was a graduate of
 7    Decatur  High School and attended Northwestern University; on
 8    December 6, 1930 he married Catherine B. Kalapis in  Decatur;
 9    and
10        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Kileen  worked forty-two years for Mueller
11    Co. as chief plumbing engineer; while working at  Mueller  he
12    and  the  company  held  over one hundred patents on products
13    developed by Mr. Kileen; at the time of his  retirement  from
14    Mueller he held the position of purchasing agent; and
15        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Kileen was a charter member of the Central
16    Illinois Chapter of  the  Illinois  Society  of  Professional
17    Engineers;  he  was  past  president  of  the  Lincoln Trails
18    Council of Boy Scouts  of  America,  where  he  received  the
19    Silver  Beaver  Award;  he was a member and elder of Woodland
20    Chapel Presbyterian Church; he  was  a  member  of  Golden  K
21    service  club;  he  was  chairman of the search committee for
22    first city of Decatur purchasing agent; he was past treasurer
23    of the Decatur High  School  PTA;  and  he  was  chairman  of
24    several Metro Decatur Chamber of Commerce committees; and
25        WHEREAS, In 1955 Mr. Kileen was awarded the first Boss of
26    the  Year  Award  by  the  Decatur  Chapter  of  the National
27    Secretaries Association; and
28        WHEREAS, Ray Kileen is survived by his  wife,  Catherine;
29    his  son,  Robert  Kileen  and  his wife, Sara; his grandson,
30    David M. Kileen and his wife, Lori; his granddaughters, Nancy
31    Pearl and her  husband,  Sam,  and  Mary  Ann  Ford  and  her

 1    husband,  Perry;  and his great-grandchildren, Chelsea Pearl,
 2    Theron Ford, Sara Kileen, Ben Kileen, Ellison Ford, and  Anna
 3    Kileen; therefore, be it
 4        RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
 5    OF  THE  STATE  OF  ILLINOIS,  that we mourn the death of Ray
 6    Kileen and extend our sincere  sympathy  to  his  family  and
 7    friends at this time of loss; and be it further
 8        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
 9    presented to the family of Ray Kileen.
