1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the passing of Sophie A. Saunoris of Orland Park on
4 Monday, May 25, 1998; and
5 WHEREAS, She grew up in Mt. Greenwood, attending Mt.
6 Greenwood Grammar School and Morgan Park High School; and
7 WHEREAS, She was married to the late James R. Saunoris,
8 and she was the retired owner and founder of James Saunoris &
9 Sons Garden Center & Florist and Saunoris Brothers Garden
10 Center; and
11 WHEREAS, She was a member of Sigma Phi Gamma
12 International Sorority; and
13 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
14 and friends, especially her sons, James, Lester, and Ronald;
15 her daughters-in-law, Sandy, Susan, and Sandy Koteski; her
16 grandchildren, Renee, James M., Kevin, Lisa, Steven, Ronald
17 J., Nicholas, and Brian; her 11 great-grandchildren, and her
18 sisters, Florence Decklemann and Shirley Miller; therefore,
19 be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
21 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sadness and
22 regret the death of Sophie A. Saunoris and extend our deepest
23 condolences to her family and friends; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
25 presented to the family of Sophie A. Saunoris.
