Evans of North Aurora on July 24, 4 1998; and 5 WHEREAS, He was born in Aurora on May 13, 1926, the son 6 of Charles and Josephine Evans; and 7 WHEREAS, He was the founder and chairman of the board of 8 Fairview Gardens Nursery in North Aurora; he served on the 9 board of directors of the Old Second National Bank of North 10 Aurora; and 11 WHEREAS, A decorated veteran of the U.S. Army during 12 World War II in the Pacific Theatre, Walter Evans was s 13 member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 400 in Aurora; 14 and 15 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family 16 and friends, especially his wife, Beverly; his daughters, 17 Susan Strang, Sherry Simonette, Kimberly Roth, Melody Haney, 18 and Michelle Bennetts; his sons-in-law, Daniel Strang, Frank 19 Simonette, Robert Roth, and Ronald Haney; his grandchildren, 20 Andrea, Sydney and Logan Strang, Meaghan, Frank and Joseph 21 Simonette, Dayna, Lauren, Stephanie and Ryan Roth, Guy and 22 Demerest Haney, and Joshua, Jenika and Jessica Bennetts; his 23 brother, Russell Evans; his sister, Gail Graves; his 24 stepmother, Maria; his step-sister, Yvonne Metzler; his 25 step-brother, Bernard Evans; his mother-in-law, Ann 26 Gillispie; and his brother-in-law, Chuck Gillispie; 27 therefore, be it 28 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 29 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret 30 the death of Walter R.
