90_SR0246 LRB9013228CBcb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn 3 of the death of Mrs. Alma P. Pence of Granite City on 4 Tuesday, September 1, 1998; and 5 WHEREAS, She was born on April 9, 1928 in Alton, Missouri 6 and she was a retired assembly worker clerk at Carter 7 Carburetor and Metro East Sanitary District; and 8 WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar 9 and Ella Reed Hooper, and a brother, Dan Hooper; and 10 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family 11 and friends, especially her husband, Sandy Pence; her 12 daughters, Lynette Kozer and Sandra Boyer; her brothers, Raul 13 Dean Hooper and Dwain Hooper; her sisters, Mildred Shuffit 14 and Lucille Forshee; three grandchildren; and two 15 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it 16 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 17 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret 18 the death of Mrs. Alma P. Pence and offer our sincere 19 condolences to her family and friends; and be it further 20 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 21 presented to her husband, Sandy Pence.
