 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION
 2        WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are  saddened
 3    to  learn of the death of Robert E. Grady, who passed away on
 4    November 13, 1998; and
 5        WHEREAS,  Robert  Grady  was  a  long-time  resident  and
 6    businessman in the city of Aurora, Illinois; he was  born  in
 7    Dunmore, Pennsylvania on August 5, 1919; and
 8        WHEREAS,  Robert  Grady  received  his education from the
 9    University of Scranton in Pennsylvania; in 1942  he  enlisted
10    in  the United States Army and served in Europe on a hospital
11    train  in  World  War  II;  he  married  Beulah  Anderson  of
12    Ringsted, Iowa in 1942, and she preceded him in death; and
13        WHEREAS, After World War II the couple settled in  Aurora
14    and  raised  their  children;  Mr.  Grady  was  the owner and
15    operator of Anderson  Manufacturing  Company  and  Montgomery
16    Products;  Mr.  Grady  was a member of Holy Angels Parish for
17    over 50 years, and was a member of the Knights  of  Columbus,
18    the  Serra  Club, and other Catholic organizations; Mr. Grady
19    was a member of the Aurora Moose Lodge  400,  and  an  active
20    member of the Aurora Country Club for over 25 years; and
21        WHEREAS,  In  1994  Mr.  Grady  married Marian Bombard of
22    Aurora; and
23        WHEREAS, Robert Grady is survived by  his  wife,  Marian;
24    his  children,  Kathleen  Grady,  Thomas  Grady,  and Patrick
25    Grady; his brother, Edward Grady; his sisters, Mary  Margaret
26    Boland   and   Mary   Elizabeth   Hennigan;   and  his  eight
27    grandchildren; therefore, be it
28        RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
29    OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that  we  mourn,  along  with  his
30    family  and  friends,  the  death  of Robert Grady of Aurora,
31    Illinois; may they find peace and comfort  in  this  time  of

 1    need; and be it further
 2        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
 3    presented to the family of Robert Grady.
