1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Illinois Senate has long enjoyed the
3 tradition of committed and compassionate individuals among
4 its membership; and
5 WHEREAS, Senator Kevin Kehoe has demonstrated a tireless
6 commitment and dedication to his constituents and the people
7 of the State of Illinois through his work on issues ranging
8 from health care to quality education; and
9 WHEREAS, Senator Kehoe previously served the people of
10 Macon County as a member and President of the County Board
11 and has shared his time and expertise by serving as an
12 officer with both the United Cerebral Palsy of East Central
13 Illinois and United Cerebral Palsy of Illinois; and
14 WHEREAS, Senator Kehoe was born in Moberly, Missouri,
15 where he excelled in academics and sports, earning a
16 scholarship to Columbia University; and
17 WHEREAS, Senator Kehoe continued his education at St.
18 Louis University School of Law and is a member of the
19 Illinois, Missouri, American, and Decatur Bar Associations;
20 and
21 WHEREAS, Senator Kehoe will be missed by this body not
22 only for his dedication and insight, but also for his
23 personal commitment to his constituents and the public good;
24 and
25 WHEREAS, Although the Senate career of Senator Kehoe is
26 closing, he will continue to serve the people through future
27 public and charitable service; therefore, be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
29 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we bid Senator Kevin Kehoe a
30 fond farewell as he leaves the Illinois Senate and extend to

1 him our best wishes for the future; and be it further
2 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to Senator Kevin Kehoe as an expression of our
4 respect and esteem.
