90_SR0296 LRB9013817CBcb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are saddened to learn 3 of the recent death of William Legge, Sr. of Burbank; and 4 WHEREAS, A 40-year resident of Burbank, Mr. Legge had 5 been Burbank's deputy director of civil defense since 1972; 6 he retired from Campbell 66 Express after working there for 7 25 years; and he was also an auxiliary police officer in 8 Hickory Hills for the last 10 years; and 9 WHEREAS, Mr. Legge served as a Burbank volunteer 10 firefighter in the 1970s and was a Little League baseball 11 coach; he was a Boy Scout Cub Master; he was also a member of 12 the March of Dimes for 15 years and had been a helper of the 13 American Red Cross of Greater Chicago for many years; and 14 WHEREAS, His passing will be felt by his family and 15 friends, especially his wife, Lois; his daughters, Kathy 16 Davis and Karen Barth; his son, William Legge, Jr.; his 17 grandchild; and a sister, Lola Abshire; therefore, be it 18 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 19 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret 20 the death of William Legge, Sr. and extend our sincere 21 condolences to his family and friends; and be it further 22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 23 presented to his widow, Lois Legge.
