        Amends the Illinois Pension Code  to  allow  State  employees  to      
   establish  service  credit  for  up  to  5  years  of  certain federal      
   employment.  Allows controlled substance inspectors to establish up to      
   12 years of eligible creditable service for periods  spent  as  a  law      
   enforcement  officer  employed by the federal government or any state,      
   county,  or  local  government.   Also  allows  controlled   substance      
   inspectors to transfer credits from downstate police pension funds and      
   the  Illinois  Municipal  Retirement  Fund  to  the  State  Employees'      
   Retirement System.  Effective immediately.
