SANTIAGO-LOPEZ-FEIGENHOLTZ-KLINGLER. 705 ILCS 405/2-3 from Ch. 37, par. 802-3 Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Provides that a neglected minor includes a minor who has not been receiving any financial support from his or her parents or other person responsible for the minor's well-being for the continuous period of 21 or more days. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 705 ILCS 405/2-3 Adds reference to: 750 ILCS 5/505 from Ch. 40, par. 505 Deletes the title and everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act. Provides that failure by a parent to comply with an order to pay child support for a second or subsequent time shall be punished as contempt and after finding the parent guilty of contempt, the court shall, in addition to other penalties, order the parent sentenced to 6 months imprisonment if the parent had previously received periodic imprison- ment after failure to comply with an order to pay child support, the imprisonment permitted the parent to work, and the parent still did not comply with the order to pay child support.
