SMITH,MICHAEL-SLONE-LEITCH. (SHADID-O'MALLEY) 55 ILCS 5/5-39001 from Ch. 34, par. 5-39001 Amends the Counties Code. Allows the county board to authorize a law library fee of not to exceed $10 (now, $6 or $10 in counties with more than 250,000 inhabitants). FISCAL NOTE (DCCA) HB 824 does not have a fiscal impact on DCCA and could increase revenues to counties, but the amount cannot be determined. STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE In the opinion of DCCA, HB824 fails to create a State mandate. HOME RULE NOTE HB824 contains no home rule preemption. 97-02-20 H FIRST READING 97-02-20 H REFERRED TO HOUSE RULES COMMITTEE RULES 97-02-26 H ASSIGNED TO COMMITTEE LOCAL GOVT 97-02-28 H FISCAL NOTE FILED 97-02-28 H COMMITTEE LOCAL GOVT 97-03-06 H DO PASS/SHORT DEBATE 011-004-000 HLGV 97-03-06 H PLACED CALENDAR 2ND READING-SHORT DEBATE 97-03-06 H FISCAL NOTE REQUESTED HUGHES 97-03-06 H STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE REQUESTED HUGHES 97-03-06 H HOME RULE NOTE REQUESTED HUGHES 97-03-06 H CALENDAR ORDER 2ND READING-SHORT DEBATE 97-03-12 H STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE FILED 97-03-12 H HOME RULE NOTE FILED 97-03-12 H CALENDAR ORDER 2ND READING-SHORT DEBATE 97-03-13 H SECOND READING-SHORT DEBATE 97-03-13 H PLCD CAL ORDER 3RD READING-SHORT DEBATE 97-04-08 H ADDED AS A JOINT SPONSOR SLONE 97-04-08 H ADDED AS A CO-SPONSOR LEITCH 97-04-09 H THIRD READING/SHORT DEBATE/PASSED 088-026-000 97-04-10 S ARRIVE IN SENATE 97-04-10 S PLACED CALENDAR ORDER OF FIRST READING 97-04-16 S CHIEF SPONSOR SHADID 97-04-17 S FIRST READING 97-04-17 S REFERRED TO SENATE RULES COMMITTEE RULES 97-04-17 S ASSIGNED TO COMMITTEE LOC GOV & ELE 97-04-29 S DO PASS 007-000-000 SLGV 97-04-29 S PLACED ON CALENDAR ORDER OF 2ND READING 97-04-30 97-04-30 S SECOND READING 97-04-30 S PLACED ON CALENDAR ORDER OF 3RD READING 97-05-01 97-05-07 S ADDED AS A CHIEF CO-SPONSOR O'MALLEY 97-05-08 S THIRD READING - PASSED 054-003-000 97-05-08 H PASSED BOTH HOUSES 97-06-06 H SENT TO THE GOVERNOR 97-07-11 H GOVERNOR APPROVED 97-07-11 H EFFECTIVE DATE 98-01-01 97-07-11 H PUBLIC ACT.............................. 90-0092 END OF INQUIRY Full Text Bill Summary
