HUGHES. (BURZYNSKI) 55 ILCS 5/3-9006 from Ch. 34, par. 3-9006 Amends the Counties Code. Makes a reference gender neutral in the Section concerning the internal operations of the office of the State's Attorney. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 55 ILCS 5/3-9006 Adds reference to: 55 ILCS 5/5-12001 from Ch. 34, par. 5-12001 Deletes everything. Amends the Counties Code. States that the zoning powers of a county shall not be exercised to impose regulations or require permits with respect to land primarily and directly used or proposed to be primarily and directly used for agricultural purposes. Provides that agricultural purposes include the growing of farm crops, truck garden crops, animal and poultry husbandry, apiculture, aquaculture, dairying, floriculture, horticulture, nurseries, tree farms, sod farms, pasturage, viticulture, and wholesale greenhouses when such agricultural purposes constitute the principal activity on the land and, if the land includes a residence, agricultural purposes is the principal occupation of the residents. Allows counties to establish a minimum lot size for residences on land used for agricultural purposes. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 2.
